Job Summary:
As a Vehicle Service Mechanic, you’ll apply your expertise in automotive technology, diagnosing and repairing vehicle issues efficiently. With a focus on attention to detail and problem-solving skills, you’ll ensure vehicles receive top-notch maintenance, meeting the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspecting and diagnosing engine and part faults.
- Fitting, testing, and servicing motor vehicles and motorcycle engines.
- Replacing engine components or complete engines.
- Examining, adjusting, dismantling, and rebuilding defective parts of motor vehicles.
- Installing or adjusting motors, brakes, and steering systems.
- Installing, adjusting, and replacing mechatronics components of motor vehicles.
- Performing scheduled maintenance services for smoother vehicle operation and pollution regulation compliance.
- Reassembling engines and parts after repair.
- Inspecting and repairing electrical systems.
- Conducting diagnostic tests and road tests.
- Offering technical advice and assistance to customers.
- Maintaining accurate repair and service records.
Requirements
- Education: a certificate or diploma in automotive technology from a recognized technical or vocational institution.
- Experience: a minimum of one year in the automotive environment.
- Skills: Mechanics should possess a diverse set of technical skills, encompassing the ability to diagnose vehicle issues, execute repairs and maintenance tasks proficiently, and effectively utilize various tools and equipment. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are essential.
