Job description
We are looking for a dynamic and seasoned Technical Analyst to join us in the team. This is a position that requires knowledge of EDI (X12 and EDIFACT) and ERP systems, specifically SAP. More information below:
- EDI (X12 and EDIFACT):
- X12 and EDIFACT are both standards used for electronic data interchange (EDI) in different regions. X12 is commonly used in North America, while EDIFACT is more widely used in Europe and other parts of the world.
- As a Technical Analyst, you’d be responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining these EDI protocols within the system. You’d be working with various documents like purchase orders, invoices, shipping notices, etc., and ensuring seamless communication between different business partners.
- Troubleshooting issues with EDI transmissions, mappings, and data transformations would likely be a part of your duties as well.
- ERP (SAP):
- SAP is a major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that integrates different business processes, such as finance, procurement, logistics, and human resources.
- With your SAP knowledge, you’ll likely work on integrating EDI transactions into SAP’s modules (like SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP WM), making sure data flows correctly between SAP and external partners through EDI systems.
- You might be configuring EDI interfaces in SAP, handling issues related to EDI processing (like mapping, data formats, etc.), and ensuring the ERP system is aligned with business and technical requirements.
