Food Safety Lead

Role description

Every day we ship hundreds of orders from our warehouse to customers. While we grow fast, the need for adherence to food safety and quality standards increases. Therefore, we are looking for an experienced Food Safety Lead. You will be responsible for ensuring all our food handling operations – from receiving to delivery – meet and exceed international food safety standards. This role requires strong attention to detail and experience in implementing robust food safety systems in fast-paced food retail environments.

The role is critical to our success and touches every aspect of our operations. We handle fresh produce, dairy, meat, baked goods, and dry goods – each requiring specific handling protocols. We operate at scale, maintain strict temperature controls, and need to work towards zero tolerance for food safety breaches.

Develop and maintain comprehensive food safety management systems aligned with international standards (HACCP, ISO 22000)

  • Establish clear protocols for receiving, storage, processing, packing, and delivery of different food categories
  • Monitor and audit compliance with food safety procedures across all operational touchpoints
  • Set up and manage temperature monitoring systems throughout the cold chain
  • Implement robust allergen control and cross-contamination prevention protocols
  • Design and conduct food safety training programs for all staff members
  • Work directly with our warehouse and delivery teams to ensure proper food handling practices
  • Lead incident investigations and implement preventive measures
  • Manage relationships with food safety certification bodies and regulatory authorities

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in food safety management within retail or food distribution
  • Strong background in HACCP implementation and food safety management systems
  • Professional certification in food safety (FSSC 22000, BRC, or equivalent)
  • Experience in cold chain management and temperature-controlled logistics
  • Proven track record of maintaining food safety standards in high-volume operations
  • Good with data analysis and documentation management
  • Experience with RCA & CAPA systems
  • History of developing and delivering food safety training programs
  • Comfortable working in a fast-changing environment
  • Results-driven with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to food safety excellence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to food safety concerns
  • Proactive problem-solver with zero tolerance for compromising standards
  • Adaptable and systematic in approach to changing business needs

Logistics Lead

Role description

While we grow fast, we are definitely not perfect in our operations. As we continue to scale we are looking for an experienced logistics lead. You will be responsible for managing all logistics operations, inbound and outbound, making sure that we deliver all our orders on time, according to standard, always at all costs.

This role requires strong problem-solving abilities and experience in managing complex logistics operations in fast-paced environments.

The role is simple, but complex at the same time. We can have sudden inflows of orders, we grow fast, we cover a large area, we have many products, we have high quality standards.

  • Set up and improve processes for our delivery operations, from warehouse to customer
  • Follow clear systems for tracking orders, managing fleet, and handling delivery issues
  • Track tools and dashboards to monitor delivery performance and team efficiency
  • Set up training programs for delivery teams to ensure high-quality service
  • Work directly with our riding and driving team to optimize routes and delivery schedules
  • Fix delivery problems quickly and find ways to prevent them from happening again

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience managing logistics operations
  • Strong background in creating and improving operational processes
  • Experience with building or implementing tracking systems and tools
  • Good with Excel and data analysis
