Floor Matter Solutions is a fast-paced limited company operating in the construction industry. The company specializes in flooring sector and general interior design works.

Our goal is to solve problems associated with the majority of the traditional floorings options that have existed in the Kenyan market with our modern-day flooring solutions.

In this regard, we provide warm, more durable, ant-scratch, non-fading, and exquisite flooring options like SPC, laminate floor, bamboo floor, and more.

Sales and Marketing Representative Role

We would like to recruit a dedicated, self-driven individual to join our team in the position of sales and marketing to help reach to as many potential clients as possible and retain them for flooring and interior design services.

The salesperson is responsible for responding to the customer messages online, receiving calls and making follow up calls/messages while ensuring they maintain an excellent relationship among other duties.

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication skills. A good salesperson meets sales objectives while remaining polite and extremely helpful to customers.

Key Skills/Competencies

 Ability to offer value to customers without being overly salesy

 In-depth understanding of the current products

 Flexible work hours.

 Highly adaptable and a team player.

 At least a diploma in sales and marketing

 Excellent communication skills and good customer relations.

 Prior experience in sales (Preferably 2 years and above).

 Excellent communication skills (both spoken and written)

 Ability to stay abreast with the current marketing trends and strategies (Social Media Marketing)

 Ability to understand competitors and leverage accordingly

 Collaboration with potential customers to help reach a common solution that helps solve their issue or need

 Empathy, which will help you fully understand the prospect’s needs and solve their problems

Duties and Responsibilities

o Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers

o Management of the authorized social media marketing platforms on behalf of the company

o Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their changing needs on a monthly basis

o Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships

o Reach out to customer leads through cold calling

o Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule

o Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments

o Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities for review of current strategies, products, or services.

o Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends

o Coordinating or assisting in coordination of delivery of goods to the customers in collaboration with other staff

o Taking customer calls and answering messages

o Making follow-up calls to potential customers to confirm sales date

o Keeping clear sales activities records on daily basis

o Keeping client data based on the established criteria by the supervisor/manager

o Preparing quotations/helping with the same

o Keeping clear records of the past quotations, contact details and location of the customer to help with follow ups in the future or decision-making based on the customer behaviours
