About the role

The Sales and Marketing Officer will focus primarily on driving sales growth at our clients’s cafe. He/She will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase revenue, attract more customers, and boost sales both online and in-store. The role will involve executing targeted promotions, managing customer engagement, and ensuring consistent brand messaging to enhance customer loyalty and overall sales performance.

Key Responsibilities:

● Sales Growth Initiatives: Strategically plan and execute sales-driven campaigns/activities that include targeted promotions, limited-time discounts, and seasonal offers to increase foot traffic, boost customer purchases, and

maximize sales during peak times.

● Social Media Management: Craft engaging and sales-focused content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, TikTok) to attract new customers, drive traffic to the store, and promote exclusive offers. Actively engage with followers, turning interactions into sales opportunities.

● Promotions & Campaigns: Develop and launch high-impact promotional campaigns tailored to drive sales, such as special discounts, seasonal promotions, and limited-time offers that encourage immediate purchases and

customer loyalty.

● Content Creation: Produce compelling marketing content, both digital and print, including flyers, newsletters, and menu boards that highlight high-margin menu items, upcoming events, and special offers to drive direct sales.

● Customer Engagement: Actively interact with customers both online and offline to gather feedback, respond to inquiries, and create personalized experiences that foster repeat business and encourage word-of-mouth referrals.

● Event Planning: Organize in-store events such as live music or workshops that not only attract new customers but also create buzz, offering opportunities for upselling and generating additional revenue.

● Brand Management: Ensure that all marketing materials consistently reflect the Ubuntu Life brand identity while aligning with sales objectives. Ensure messaging emphasizes promotions and products that drive revenue.

● Email Marketing: Design and implement email campaigns with a strong call-to-action, promoting current specials, exclusive discounts, and events to keep customers engaged and increase repeat sales.

● Local Marketing: Strengthen local brand presence by optimizing local Search Engine Optimization (SEO), forming partnerships, and collaborating with nearby businesses to drive foot traffic and increase sales from the surrounding community.

● Analytics & Reporting: Regularly analyze sales data and marketing performance metrics to assess campaign success. Use insights to refine strategies and optimize campaigns for maximum revenue generation.

● Any other duty as may be prescribed related to Sales growth.

Qualifications:

● 1-3 years of experience in marketing, preferably in the hospitality, food & beverage, or retail industry.

● Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, TikTok, etc.) and content creation.

● Creative with a good eye for photography, graphic design, or content creation.

● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.

● Basic knowledge of marketing tools and social media scheduling tools.

● Experience with photography or videography is a strong advantage.

● Familiarity with Google Analytics, social media insights, and email marketing

software.

● Knowledge of food and beverage trends and local and international market insights.
