About the job
The organisation creates software for climate-risk and renewable energy risk.
Reporting to the Head of Business Development, you would be covering the French speaking African countries.
Your responsibilities:
- New business development within the region
- Relationship building with key stakeholders
- Customer success management with current clients and working on current projects
- Conduct new business development and customer success work (working on current projects)
- Drive recurring revenue and license sales
- Attend industry events, conferences, field trips, and customer meetings
- Generate new business development on a quarterly basis
Your background ideally is:
- 4-5 years of experience in business development/sales, energy consulting or sustainable energy or climate sector in sub Saharan Africa.
- Experience working with investors, hydro developers and distributors
- You may come from energy consulting background and understand energy management, and development of renewable energy in the region
- You have an extensive network in the distributed renewable energy sector in emerging markets.
- Experience working in a start-up environment
- You understand software sales or have done it before in a previous company
- Experience working with or for international donors and investors (governments) are a plus.
- Proficiency in Powerpoint/Google slides and Excel/Google sheets.
- Experience working with CRM tools (e.g. Sales Force).
- Fluency in French & English
