Tutor, Clinical Medicine and Surgery @ Nyahururu Medical Training College

The Tutor, Clinical Medicine and Surgery is responsible for teaching, mentoring, and supervising students in both theoretical and practical aspects of the program. The tutor will facilitate clinical training, ensuring students develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies required for professional practice in clinical medicine.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver lectures, practical demonstrations, and clinical instruction in Clinical Medicine and Surgery.
  • Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessment tools aligned with the approved curriculum.
  • Supervise students in clinical rotations at hospitals, health centers, and community healthcare settings.
  • Mentor students in academic and professional development, ensuring ethical and professional conduct.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation requirements set by the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya and TVETA.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, academic workshops, and CPD programs.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma/Degree in Clinical Medicine and Surgery with a valid license.
  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in a recognized institution.
  • Proficiency in clinical procedures, diagnosis, and patient management.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including hospital shifts and emergency duties.
  • May be required to travel to affiliated hospitals for student supervision.
