Project Manager- RNIB

About the job

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Eye Health and Eye Care initiative, which is one of our three, ten-year strategic priorities at RNIB. You’ll be working alongside a team to deliver service transformation projects which contribute to our strategic aim that people at all stages of the Eye Care Support Pathway are offered practical and emotional support.

In The First Year That Will Include:

  • Working in collaboration with the Royal Colleges of Ophthalmologists and Optometrists to design an emotional support curriculum for eye care professionals.
  • To improve Low Vision services for children in the UK.

As an experienced Project manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of key projects within the Eye Health and Eye Care initiative.

You will manage the delivery of all aspects of the project, from set up, tracking and monitoring, through to reporting and documenting lessons learned.

You will establish and manage project teams whilst ensuring a smooth delivery of the project.

This role will work cross-organisationally, influencing heads of departments, and senior managers/directors to deliver projects that is core to our strategy.

What You’ll Need To Succeed In This Role

Strong Project Management experience, but particularly in transformation projects that drive service excellence.

You’ll be highly organised and passionate, with the ability to drive projects from the front and delivery on time and to budget.

You’ll be experienced in working in a structured project management environment and utilising a project methodology.

We want resilient, resourceful, and adaptable people to make our work happen. This is an opportunity to gain fantastic experience in a major Third Sector organisation and play a key role in how services are delivered across the UK.

This is a fixed term contract of 18 Months, and will be suitable for homeworking, or hybrid working at any of our RNIB offices across the UK.
