Production Operator at Bio-Logical

About the job

PRODUCTION OPERATOR JOB DESCRIPTION

Role: Production Operator

Start Date: End of June 2024

Location: Kabati, Muranga

About Us:

At Bio-Logical, we are committed to creating climate-resilient communities worldwide by leveraging a circular economy to transform agricultural waste into biochar. This remarkable material sequesters carbon and rejuvenates degraded soil. Through pyrolysis, we convert agricultural waste into biochar, which serves as the foundation for our organic fertilisers. This not only bolsters the climate resilience of smallholder farmers but also generates carbon credits sold to global companies.

Our mission is centred on three pillars:

  • Carbon Removals: We develop engineered carbon removal projects that sequester carbon and combat climate change effects, such as severe droughts, soil degradation, and failed harvests in Africa.
  • Land Regeneration: Our long-term projects aim to regenerate land and forests, tackling significant challenges faced by African smallholder farmers, including soil degradation, droughts, expensive fertilisers, and climate vulnerability.
  • Supporting Smallholders: Founded on the principle of equitable climate action, Bio-Logical addresses the severe impacts of climate change on those least equipped to deal with them. By 2030, we aim to sequester 1 million tonnes of CO2 annually.
