Power Up Campaign Co-ordinator at Ashden

About the job
We are looking for someone with an unshakeable belief that we can achieve greater impact by working together; who can facilitate diverse groups from within and beyond the energy, climate and finance sectors; and who can manage complex, dynamic relationships sensitively, leading from behind to support the coalition to attract new members, partners and allies.
Are you innovative and entrepreneurial? A critical and reflective thinker, with a “can do” attitude to seize daily new campaign opportunities? Can you plan for the long-term power, success, and sustainability of the coalition to achieve its objectives?
You will need a minimum three years’ experience in policy, advocacy and influencing in energy, climate, development and/or finance in Kenya and demonstrable understanding of synergies and conflicts across sectors, and with first hand knowledge and lived experience of the negative impact that lack of energy access has on people’s lives and livelihoods in East Africa.
The Co-ordinator will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Power Up coalition and campaign in Kenya, building coalition membership and engaging with stakeholders.
