As a group of companies with 7-8 sister concern companies, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Group HR Manager to oversee and coordinate our human resources functions.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

HR Strategy and Policy Development:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Formulate and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with Kenyan labor laws.

Talent Acquisition and Management:

  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process to attract and retain high-caliber talent.
  • Develop and implement effective onboarding and induction programs.
  • Manage talent development and succession planning.

Employee Relations and Performance Management:

  • Foster a positive working environment and address employee relations issues.
  • Implement and oversee performance appraisal systems to ensure employee performance aligns with company goals.
  • Handle disciplinary and grievance matters in accordance with company policy and Kenyan labor laws.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to employee compensation and benefits.

Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development programs.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure the company complies with all labor laws and regulations in Kenya.
  • Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory authorities.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.

HR Information Systems:

  • Manage HRIS systems and ensure accurate and efficient record-keeping.
  • Utilize data and analytics to drive HR decision-making.

Health, Safety, and Welfare:

  • Promote a healthy and safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of HR management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior HR role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience in HR strategy development and implementation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office applications.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Gross Salary: 250,000 KES per month
  • Airtime allowance
  • Fuel allowance
  • In-patient insurance (for employee only)

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Experience in the agricultural export sector is an advantage.
