Job Title: Senior Animal Nutrition Specialist
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Missions
- Formulate feed and premix for all species, including poultry, swine, ruminants, and aqua.
- Provide technical support to the sales organization to better meet customer needs in Africa and the Middle East. This includes guidance on feed formulation, raw-materials quality and purchase criteria, quality control plans for raw materials and finished products, analysis results interpretation, and matrix updates.
- Offer technical support to clients in Africa and the Middle East, focusing on formulation tools, formula optimization, and training.
Education and Experience:
- University degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Animal Health, or Animal Nutrition.
- At least 7 years of experience in animal nutrition and feed formulation across various animal species.
- Experience working with global companies and multiple markets is advantageous.
Technical Skills:
- Comprehensive understanding of animal nutrition activities, including formulation, production, business operations, quality control, and health.
- Extensive background and experience in feed formulation.
- Practical knowledge of animal nutrition.
- Project management skills.
- Proficiency in PC skills and familiarity with IT tools such as Microsoft Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, and Salesforce. Active knowledge of formulation software.
- Strong knowledge of the African animal nutrition environment, including regulatory aspects.
General Skills:
- Strong communication skills.
- Fluency in English (both written and oral); proficiency in another language is advantageous.
- Teamwork mindset and a collaborative personality within a matrix organization.
- Alignment with ADM culture, mission, and vision.
- Ability to complete work timely and accurately.
- Capability to understand, assess, and shape customer needs.
- Willingness to travel outside of Nairobi when required.
- Enthusiasm for formulating innovative solutions and trends in the animal nutrition market.
