Key Responsibilities

  • Staff Reimbursement Claims: Process staff reimbursement claims in line with company policies, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Vendor Invoice Management: Manage vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.
  • Account Reconciliation: Conduct monthly reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable accounts.
  • Financial Reporting Support: Assist in preparing financial reports by providing essential data for informed decision-making.
  • Aging Schedules Preparation: Prepare aging schedules for balance sheet accounts to monitor outstanding items.
  • Documentation Maintenance: Maintain accurate support documentation for all payments, adhering to relevant regulations, including those made to non-registered countries.
  • Month-End Closing Assistance: Support the month-end closing process and other ad-hoc finance tasks as needed.
  • Internal Control Promotion: Advocate for a strong internal control environment and best practices in the accounts payable process.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and drive improvements, including creating standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce (BCom), Management, or a related field.
  • Professional Certification: Part qualification in CPA Part 2 or ACCA Level 2 is a prerequisite.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of progressive experience in finance or similar roles.
  • Sector Experience: Prior experience working in an international NGO is an added advantage.
  • Donor-Funded Projects: Experience in donor-funded projects and treasury management with an understanding of major donors’ rules and regulations.
  • Procurement Knowledge: In-depth understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and travel logistics.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office, project management tools, and procurement systems.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Multitasking Abilities: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Language Skills: Strong English skills and fluency in local languages required.
  • Travel Willingness: Ability and willingness to travel as required.
