About the Role
The Partnerships Director will play a critical role in supporting Angaza’s Fundraising Team by driving strategic partnerships and securing new funding opportunities with global foundations, institutions, and corporations. This position requires a skilled writer and a strategic thinker who can craft compelling proposals, manage internal systems, and enhance team efficiency.
We are seeking a systems-oriented professional with strong research, project coordination, and business development skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in fundraising, proposal writing, opportunity sourcing, and knowledge management to help advance Angaza’s impact and growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Proposal Coordination (30%)
Support proposal development by coordinating and executing assigned tasks.
Write and refine proposal content to ensure compliance with solicitation requirements (e.g., concept notes, expressions of interest, organizational capacity statements, etc.).
Participate in proposal review sessions, integrate feedback, and implement necessary revisions.
Develop templates, guides, and tools to streamline the proposal development process.
2. Collateral Development & Knowledge Management (30%)
Prepare high-quality content for external meetings, pitch decks, capacity statements, and project one-pagers.
Establish and manage a system for organizing and maintaining collateral, ensuring timely updates.
Oversee and maintain proposal and content libraries to enhance institutional knowledge retention.
3. Opportunity Sourcing & Industry Research (20%)
Proactively monitor institutional donor portals and identify new funding opportunities.
Conduct research, perform competitive analyses, and share findings with leadership.
Track emerging industry trends, funding priorities, and competitor activities to inform Angaza’s positioning.
Attend industry webinars, virtual conferences, and panel discussions, summarizing key insights for the team.
4. Team & Process Management (20%)
Manage the Partnerships Engagement Tracker, ensuring accurate updates and follow-ups.
Edit and align grant reports with funder requirements.
Develop and maintain knowledge management tools, databases, and job aids to enhance team organization and efficiency.
Support team workshops and training to strengthen fundraising and business development capacity.
What You’ll Bring
✅ Professional working proficiency in English (excellent writing and editing skills).
✅ 1-3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, proposal development, project management, or related fields.
✅ Strong Google Suite proficiency and ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
✅ Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to synthesize research and craft compelling narratives.
✅ Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
✅ Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, with a track record of implementing new systems and processes.
✅ Experience in knowledge management, content development, or donor engagement is a plus.
✅ Basic graphic design skills or familiarity with AI writing tools is an added advantage.
