As Program Manager, you will create an enabling environment for our ventures to thrive, and build partnerships that accelerate achieving our impact KPI’s. You will carry out program management for our FoodFlow program in Kenya, engage with key partners and clients, and represent the program and the company to external stakeholders. You will work on program development, business development and fundraising, coordination and administration, project management and budgeting.

The Program Manager at Enviu East Africa will be a full-time team member, reporting to the Regional Program Manager and working closely with other teams across Enviu. Collaboration is key here – we believe in working together to achieve our goals. The Program Manager will collaborate closely with colleagues to drive success and to reach our aims.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day implementation of our current FoodFlow program. This includes coordinating and / or executing all program management aspects such as research, report generation, and planning, as well as organizing monitoring and evaluation efforts and relevant administration
  • Lead the timely completion of grant reporting, crafting detailed reports that align with the requirements outlined by funders
  • Proactively identify, research and develop a pipeline of grant/funding opportunities both on program and on venture level. You will develop and contribute to winning program proposals to ensure continuity of our program work
  • Support ventures to raise grant funding by leading or supporting development of proposals and high-quality responses to call for proposals
  • Collaborate closely with our Marketing and Communications team to provide relevant and timely updates on programs and ventures
  • Play a role in shaping the vision for Enviu EA’s growth
  • Develop and produce program materials, such as website content and conference presentations
  • Represent the organization at high-level meetings with stakeholders and relevant conferences, where possible showcasing the work of Enviu within FoodFlow. This involves enhancing the profile and reputation of FoodFlow and increasing public awareness of its mission and impact.

About you

  • Demonstrated track record of 3-6 years of experience in project and program development, fundraising, grant writing (successfully securing and managing proposals exceeding 200k EUR), ME&L, and research
  • You have a Bachelors degree in a relevant field (international studies, business, social science or management)
  • Exceptional writing skills to craft compelling proposals tailored to the requirements of funders, with the ability to synthesize information coherently. You excel at grasping new concepts, connecting ideas, and crafting narratives in alignment with Enviu’s style.
  • Flexibility, strong organization skills, and self-sufficiency, coupled with a proactive approach to planning and task execution
  • Have a high level of conceptual understanding
  • Highly starred analytical and data management skills, with an eye for detail
  • A passion for Enviu’s mission and a high intrinsic motivation
  • The ability to juggle different tasks simultaneously and prioritize tasks and projects efficiently

And it would be a plus if you have:

  • Experience in impact focused areas within social / circular business sectors
  • Familiarity with logic models, log frames and theories of change in a development context

Furthermore, the ideal candidate is fluent in English, can work independently, and has a good sense of humor. The job will be performed in Nairobi, Kenya, and we are specifically looking for a local candidate.
