Key Responsibilities

As part of our consultant roster, successful candidates will contribute to a wide range of projects, encompassing disciplines from environmental economics to silviculture. This is an opportunity for experts in the fields of forestry research, climate policy, and ecological sciences to apply their knowledge and skills to real-world challenges. Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Environmental Economics/Value Chains: Conduct research and analysis on sustainable economic practices related to forestry products, focusing on value chain optimization and economic viability.
  • Financial Governance: Assist in the development and implementation of financial governance frameworks aimed at promoting fiscal responsibility and transparency within environmental programs.
  • Forest Law Enforcement, Governance, and Trade (FLEGT): Collaborate on projects to advance forest governance policies that support sustainable forest management and legal trade practices.
  • Macroeconomics and Biomass Analysis: Study biomass resources’ economic impacts, contributing to policy frameworks that support renewable energy sources.
  • Biometrics and Greenhouse Gas Measurement: Implement data collection and analysis for carbon offset programs, greenhouse gas inventories, and climate resilience projects.
  • Landscape Ecology: Participate in designing and implementing landscape-scale conservation projects, focusing on ecological restoration and biodiversity conservation.
  • Information and Communications: Support communications initiatives by creating content, managing data collection, and implementing multimedia outreach to inform public and private stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills
