The app aims to reduce travel costs, save time, and minimize environmental impact by promoting carpooling. Users can easily find and join carpool options, making their commute more efficient and sustainable.
Job Description:
Position: Campus Ambassador
Locations:
– United States International University (USIU)
– Strathmore University
– University of Nairobi
– Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT)
Responsibilities:
– Promote Encounter: Actively promote Encounter’s carpooling platform on campus through social media, flyers, and direct engagement.
– Organize Events: Plan and host events to educate students about the benefits of carpooling with Encounter.
– Facilitate Sign-Ups: Assist fellow students in signing up for the platform, ensuring a smooth and easy registration process.
– Gather Feedback: Collect user feedback to help improve the platform and address any issues.
– Lead by Example: Use the Encounter platform yourself and share your positive experiences to inspire others.
Requirements:
– Enrollment: Must be a current student at USIU, Strathmore University, Nairobi University, or JKUAT.
– Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
– Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to engage and motivate peers.
– Passion for Sustainability: A strong interest in environmental sustainability and the sharing economy.
– Social Media Savvy: Active on social media with a good understanding of how to use various platforms for promotion.
