Accountant @ Chint PVSTAR
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced International Accountant to join our team at Chint PVSTAR. This role will be primarily responsible for managing financial operations, cost control mechanisms, credit control, business processes, and risk management across our international branches. The ideal candidate will have strong financial analysis skills, experience in overseas financial processes, and a deep understanding of international tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Support for Overseas Projects:
- Lead the financial review of new overseas branches and investment projects. Participate in due diligence, risk assessment, and provide financial insights to guide decision-making.
- Receivables and Credit Control Management:
- Monitor and manage overseas accounts receivable, ensure timely collections, and report any abnormal credit risks. Work closely with the business team to reduce credit risks using insurance solutions.
- Financial Modeling and Business Review:
- Oversee the financial forecast models and performance metrics for new business models, providing financial performance correction and benchmarks.
- Warehouse Financial Supervision:
- Collaborate with teams to establish online and offline stock-taking mechanisms, track discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
- Digitalization of Financial Processes:
- Lead efforts to digitize financial operations, including setting up a Kenyan credit control system, upgrading the Overseas ERP system (SAP), and ensuring compliance with local invoicing standards.
- Regular Financial Analysis:
- Analyze overseas financial data and business performance to support decision-making and improve financial outcomes.
- Risk Management:
- Establish and monitor financial risk control systems, analyzing early warnings and developing measures to prevent risks in international operations.
- Ad-hoc Financial Analysis:
- Complete special tasks, such as sales-pricing assessments and reviewing business policies, accounts receivable policies, and more.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, accounting, or related fields. Overseas study or international education is a plus.
- Experience: 5+ years of financial experience in large or multinational companies, preferably in the renewable energy industry.
- Certifications: Junior accounting qualification or equivalent certification. Progress in HKICPA, ACCA, or CMA exams is preferred.
- Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP
- Strong understanding of international tax laws and regulations
- Familiarity with foreign exchange policies and global payment/collection processes
- Experience in internal control and risk management
- Proficient in Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis
General Skills:
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Ability to collaborate in an international, cross-functional team
- Strong problem-solving and financial advisory abilities
- Ability to manage projects independently, from start to finish
- Familiar with international trade processes, including customer relationships and sales strategies
