Job Description
- Develop and implement strategies for the food and beverage department to achieve the organization’s financial and operational goals.
- Monitor and review the product quality and service standards in the food and beverage department • Manage and forecast budget requirements, inventory, and costs.
- Conduct all required inspections according to hotel management policies.
- Develop checklists and relevant documents for food and beverage service outlets.
- Ensure administrative and operational procedures comply with standard operating procedures.
- Review client feedback at each F&B meeting and take corrective action.
- Ensure the food and beverage team adheres to control procedures as per the hotel management manuals.
- Ensure the team maintains up-to-date records, uniforms, and necessary resources.
- Maintain hygiene and proper food presentation in the hotel.
- Approve requests within the department.
- Develop and review food and beverage standard operating procedures.
- Represent the company’s interests, minimizing costs and maximizing revenue.
- Research and implement new food and beverage products and services.
- Foster an environment for staff innovation and creativity in food and beverage services.
- Offer a variety of products catering to changing client preferences and tastes.
- Provide thorough inductions and onboarding for new employees.
- Keep staff informed and updated on hotel operations and activities.
- Lead the F&B team by attracting, recruiting, training, and appraising talented personnel for career growth.
- Coordinate with the sales and marketing team to promote the hotels food and beverage services.
- Stay informed about trends and innovations in the food and beverage industry.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, or related field preferred.
- Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in food and beverage management in a hotel setting, with at least 2 years in a similar role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Opera Systems, POS and other food & beverage management software is required.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
