Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Market Research Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will drive high-impact market research projects that provide actionable insights to our clients. You will lead in-depth analyses across various sectors, including travel and hospitality, utilising your expertise in data analysis, competitive benchmarking, and trend forecasting. As a Senior Market Research Analyst, you will work closely with senior leadership and clients to shape strategic recommendations and inform business decisions that lead to measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis: Lead and manage comprehensive market research projects to understand industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscapes within the travel and hospitality sectors.
  • Data Interpretation: Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data from various sources (e.g., market reports, customer surveys, financial statements, etc.) to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Track competitor performance and strategies, identifying key opportunities and threats that may impact client businesses.
  • Trend Forecasting: Utilise advanced analytics techniques to forecast market trends, consumer behaviour, and industry shifts, offering future-proof solutions for clients.
  • Client Engagement: Collaborate closely with clients, understanding their business needs and delivering tailored market insights that support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Strategic Recommendations: Develop and present research findings and strategic recommendations to senior management and clients, ensuring clarity and alignment with business objectives.
  • Thought Leadership: Contribute to thought leadership through regular publications, white papers, and market reports on key trends and innovations within the travel and hospitality industries.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, eCommerce, and strategy, to ensure research findings are integrated into broader business initiatives.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning within the research team.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced certifications or studies in market research or data analytics are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in market research, consulting, or strategic analysis, preferably within the travel, hospitality, or related sectors.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, statistical tools, and market analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Tableau, SQL). Experience with advanced data analytics techniques such as regression analysis, segmentation, and forecasting.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyse complex data sets and extract meaningful insights to inform business decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Client-Facing Experience: Proven track record of engaging with clients, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored insights that drive strategic decisions.
