About the Company –

Le Café is the beach front restaurant and bar at Lantana Galu Beach Holiday Home Resort in Diani. It is a comprehensive set up with capacity of 80 – 100 diners, fully equipped kitchen and bar, offering a high-quality varied menu to a high-end clientele. The facility servers both in-house resident guests as well as outside visitors. It has achieved a commendable reputation in Diani for it is quality, service, ambience and location. The facility also offers banqueting solutions for events held at the resort, such as weddings for up to 200 guests. It also offers a room service solution to resident guests.

About the Role – A dynamic, enthusiastic and creative Restaurant & Bar Manager that will take “ownership” to drive the business – always client centric – a leader but always a team player!

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day activities and assist in the food and beverage outlets
  • Create innovative programs and promotions that drive revenue through increased guest patronage
  • Aid in all financial budgeting operations to maximize profitability

Qualifications

  • Diploma or a Bachelor’s degree in Advance Food and Beverage Sales and Services, Hospitality or Hotel and Restaurant Management
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience at a senior management level
  • Flexibility in working hours and a willingness to cover shifts as needed
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work

Required Skills

  • Coordinate and manage daily restaurant operations
  • Deliver superior food and restaurant services to maximise guests’ satisfaction
  • Preparing work schedules, time tables and leave schedules for staff
  • With the GM and Directors prepare an Annual Budget.
  • Prepare Monthly Analytical reports with analysis, narrative and recommendations
  • Achieving set sales and profit targets
  • Initiate menu reviews that include menu selection to keep the offer interesting to guests
  • Carry out frequent price reviews to ensure profitability
  • Initiate Sales & Marketing programs to increase revenue
  • Create merchandizing opportunities and activities to increase sales of specific meals or drinks
  • Work with Chef to come up with monthly and bi-annual specials
  • Ensure timely renewal of licenses and health and safety certificates
  • Take reasonable care of the company’s assets and equipment
