Job description

We are seeking a talented Website Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for creating engaging and user-friendly websites. You will be responsible for designing and implementing website layouts, features, and functionality. Your primary focus will be on ensuring a seamless user experience and visually appealing design.

Responsibilities:

1. Design visually stunning and user-friendly website layouts tailored for e-commerce platforms, including Shopify.

2. Customize Shopify themes and templates to match brand identity and enhance user experience.

3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate e-commerce functionality such as product listings, shopping carts, and payment gateways.

4. Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups specifically for e-commerce websites to showcase product pages, checkout processes, and other key features.

5. Implement advanced e-commerce features using Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

6. Optimize e-commerce websites for search engines and conversion rates, focusing on product visibility and sales performance.

7. Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of e-commerce functionalities to ensure a smooth shopping experience for customers.

8. Stay updated on e-commerce trends, best practices, and new Shopify features to recommend innovative solutions and improvements.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Website Designer with a focus on e-commerce and Shopify development.

2. Expertise in Shopify / WooCommerce platform customization, including theme development and app integration.

3. Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Sketch.

4. Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify Liquid language.

5. Experience with responsive and mobile-first design principles, especially in the context of e-commerce.

6. Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail, particularly in presenting product pages and enhancing conversion rates.

7. Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and translate business requirements into functional e-commerce solutions.

8. Good communication skills and ability to articulate design concepts, especially in the context of e-commerce strategy and user experience.

9. Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, or related field (preferred).

10. Portfolio showcasing previous e-commerce website design projects, specifically those developed on Shopify.
